Tussie Mussie Bouquet Workshop

Looking for something to do on Mother's Day weekend? Join us for a little Victorian inspired floral fun. At the turn of the century giving and receiving Tussie Mussies was all the rage. What is a Tussie Mussie? It is a small bouquet made with particular flowers that are meant to convey a meaning via the Language of Flowers. It often has herbs and other scented flowers included and is worn in the hair, over the heart, or during the Victorian Era on a belt accessory called a chatelaine. In this workshop there will be an array of flowers and herbs available, small pin on corsage holders, small vases, and lace doilies. Short instruction in some basic floral arranging techniques. Language of Flowers book available as a reference to translate flower meanings. Light refreshments served. Make and take a Tussie Mussie.
