Heirloom seeds have been saved season after season for generations, and are valuable treasures.  When we put these types of plants and flowe rs into our gardens and homes we are getting the best of what our ancestors have left behind.  Heirloom seedlings are rarely sold in stores, but for the backyard gardener that moves their food from yard to table they offer better flavor,more biodiversity, and the ability to save seeds for sharing and replanting.
